RedDragon's TV Series Update | Smallvile, Bones, Psych

I know it's been awhile since I put up a post. I just wanted to say sorry, I've just been busy playing my games and catching up on shows I missed through out the week. Then of course there's my jobs crappy scheduling. So I decided to up this post today and hopefully two more through the week to make up for my absence. This post will deal with how TV shows are going. This post will cover the following shows: Smallville, Bones, and Psych. Now I was originally supposed to review each episode as it aired, but kinda been busy so this is how its going to go. I am going to tell you how I think the season is going so far and I will review the next episode in full next week for all shows.

The first show I'll be talking about is Smallville. The show started out being about how Clark became Superman, but later in season 5 started to go down its own path. It doesn't mean they are completely throwing the mythology of superman out the window. I guess you can say they are just trying to make the show their own. Its kinda how Rob Zombie did a remake of the Halloween series. I am sure if you look at both you will see he probably changed a lot of things. Anyway getting off subject. Smallville is currently on it's ninth season and is still as popular as it was when it first started. Last season ended with the death of Jimmy, Louis disappearing to the future and Clark turning his back on the humans. Then of course there is the return of Zod. Now that brings us to this season. It doesn't take long for Clark to fall back into his old self. The reason I say this is because as soon as Lois returns in about the first five or ten minutes of the show Clark sees her and suddenly all happy and protective of her.
I will say Clark's character didn't seem to change from the way he was last season. Everyone else's characters have develop kinda well. You have Oliver dealing with Jimmy's death and turning his back on being the Green Arrow and lets not forget also trying to forget that he crossed a line when he murdered Lex. Then there is also the Clark and Lois relationship going on. I just want to say that the Chemistry between Tom and Erica is a bit more believable than in last season. For those people out there that say, "chemistry whatever. As long as I like the character I don't care." Well lets say if you had a TV show it would suck. Chemistry between two people make the relationship between the two more believable. Now I could give you plenty of examples to prove my point, but then this post would become to long.
Now they have done a lot of interesting thing starting this season although so far the only interesting part is Oliver's downfall. Really the only episode that I would say was pointless was “Rabid”. Its basically a take on 28 days later. However despite that the season is shaping up OK but could use a lot of improvement.

Next up is Bones. Bones is going on it's fifth season and is becoming one of my most favorite shows on Fox. Bones is about special agent Booth and a forensic anthropologist named Dr. Brennan. They basically solve all cases that the FBI normally can't solve. The show show has a bit of everything and of course the chemistry between Brennan and Booth makes the show even better and not to mention funnier at times. I have to say this season is going really well. It's really rare to find a show where that is perfect, but this show falls into that category. This season returns with Booth recovering from his surgery. Not a lot has really has happened in the show at the moment except for Brennan and Booth's relationship develops a lot more.

The last show I want to talk about is Psych. Psych is about a man named Shawn Spencer who is pretending to be a psychic and his reluctant sidekick Gus. They help the Santa Barbra Police solve cases. I have been watching the show for the last three seasons and have found each episode highly entertaining. They have just finished the first half of the fourth season. The show is still as funny as it was before. They also done a good job having Shawn's character develop into a somewhat more responsible person, but at the same time not losing the kid side of him that brings the humor into the show. There is of course Juliet and Shawn's relationship. Last season Juliet admitted to Shawn her feelings, but was a little to late. So this season she has to deal with the fact that Shawn has a girlfriend. How this is going to play out in the show I don't really know. Unfortunately the show is on break and won't return until January 2010.

There you have it people. I know I didn't give a lot of info, but I promise to try and do better when reviewing each episode. These three shows will be the main shows I review since I hardly miss any episodes.
